Lady Wildcats defeated by Council Grove
Marion Middle School Lady Wildcats traveled Thursday to Council Grove where the A-team struggled with the Braves, losing 18-25 and 7-25.
Lanna Carroll and Kristin Waner each had five serves. Austin Percell and Tacy Taylor had three. Christie Coleman had six sets and Taylor had two. Percell and Waner each chalked up two spikes and Audra Allen added one.
The B team lost in three games, 17-25, 26-24, 13-15. Valeree Hett had 15 serves. Amanda Steward had eight and Lizzy Covarrubias had seven. Jessica Vogel and Megan Schmidt each had five serves. Covarrubias had two sets and a spike. Amber Ratzloff had one spike.
The C1 team split with Council Grove, 11-26 and 18-17. The C2 team also split with Council Grove, 19-18 and 14-20. Katie Maag and D.J. Gore each had nine serves. Amanda Richmond had five serves. Bea Holub had four serves. Tori Schmidt had one set and Roxann Ross had one spike.
Monday, Oct. 6
The C team traveled to Hillsboro Oct. 6 where they lost 16-25, 10-25, and 9-25. Heather Looney had five serves. Hannah Rogers had four and Katie Maag had three. Jenna Williams had one spike.
The A team will travel to Herington Monday for the CVJL tournament.
