Lady Wildcats lose to Hillsboro
Marion Middle School Lady Wildcats A team lost to Hillsboro Thursday, 0-25 and 21-25.
Lauren Helmer had seven of seven serves for the match. Lanna Carroll, Kristin Waner, and Audra Allen each made four serves. Christie Coleman had two sets. Waner also had two spikes and Carroll had one spike.
The B team lost a hard-fought contest, 19-25, 25-15, and 10-15. Jessica Vogel and Roxann Ross each made seven serves. Lizzy Covarrubias had six serves and Megan Schmidt made five. Frankie Clarke and Amber Ratzloff each made two serves. Valeree Hett had three sets and Covarrubias had two. Schmidt had two spikes and Clarke and Vogel each had one good spike.
The C1 team split with Hillsboro 12-39 and 25-24. The C2 team lost 9-25 and 9-25.
Tori Schmidt, Amanda Richmond, and Jessica Cleveland each made seven serves. Lucy Collett had four. Katie Maag and Christine Hett each made three. Heather Looney, Jennilee Preece, Kayla Baker, and Hannah Rogers each had two. Camille Christensen, Jessica Timm, D.J. Gore, and Bea Holub each made one serve. Rogers had one spike.
