LaVerna Redger

LaVerna M. Redger, 83, died Nov. 13, 2002, near Tampa.

The daughter of C.C. and Helen (Ratzloff) Wedel, she was born May 14, 1919, near Moundridge.

She married Henry Redger Nov. 11, 1945, at Durham.

A homemaker, she was a member of Church of God in Christ Mennonite.

Survivors include her husband, Henry; two sons and daughters-in-law, Norman and Sharon Redger of DeRidder, La., and Jim and Annette Redger of Tiller, Ark.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Harry Friesen of Birnia, Manitoba, and Donna and Darrell Koehn of Moundridge; two brothers, Harry Wedel and Art Wedel, both of rural Tampa; a sister-in-law, Amanda Wedel of Durham; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Church of God in Christ Mennonite Morning Star Church, rural Tampa, with Ransom Wiebe officiating.

Burial was in Logan Cemetery, rural Tampa.

A memorial fund has been established with Morning Star Church.
