Leo Regiers to observe 65th anniversary years ago

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Regier of Marion will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Nov. 24.

Their family will join them Nov. 26 for a day of celebration.

Leo Regier and Marguerite Ferne Harris were married at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Marion.

The couple lived in the Manhattan area for 25 years where he worked as a police officer for the Manhattan Police Department. After his retirement in 1976, they traveled the United States, wintering in the South and spending summers in Marion. In 1988, they made Marion their permanent home.

The couple has three daughters, Donna and Carl DeSantis of Aurora, Colo., Diana and Gaylen Sprecker of Olathe, and Barbara and Donald Springer of Wamego; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren, with the 13th to arrive in mid-December.

Friends are invited to celebrate with the Regiers by sending them cards and letters at 2160 Kruse Dr., Marion.
