Leonard Bartel
Leonard H. Bartel, 85, died March 7, 2004, at Marion Manor.
Born May 30, 1918, at Durham, he was the son of Seth and Dora (Weidenkeller) Bartel.
On Jan. 18, 1943, he married LuElla Hoffman at McPherson. He retired from Hesston Corporation as a packager. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Newton.
Survivors include his wife, LuElla; two sons, Larry Bartel of Ooltewah, Tenn., and Glenn Bartel of Overland Park; a sister, Neva Jane Rhodenbaugh of Moundridge; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion, with Pastor Don Mackintosh officiating.
Burial was in Durham Park Cemetery, Durham.
A memorial fund was established with Marion Senior Center.
