Letter: Fireworks were great
To the Editor:
The fireworks Sunday evening at the Marion County Lake were wonderful. Every day is great at the lake and it is special when an event like this can be shared with all the residents of Marion County.
Thanks to the efforts of DuWayne Suffield and 15 other businesses, the sky was alit with lovely colors that shown over the lake and explosions that echoed for miles.
The initiative that was shown by the Marion businesses was appreciated by the hundreds who honked their car horns and yelled as the final fireworks lit the sky.
We will look forward to the Labor Day Fireworks at the Marion County Lake next year. To help this become a community project, our check is in the mail. Thank you for a great evening!
