LETTERS: All in fun

To the Editor:

Thank you very much for the kudos on my oatmeal cookie baking. I'm glad you liked them! I am experimenting with my recipe by adding less flour, to see if they will bake in "mounds" rather than flat and crispy. If I'm successful, I am going to send more, or bring them to Marion on our next trip there to visit relatives.

You failed to mention that I am related to Stacey Collett (brother), local gas company representative; Mark Collett (brother), rural Marion, truck driver; Shirley Bowers (sister), Senior Center employee; Greg Bowers (nephew), local banker; Dorothy Hayen (aunt), retired former Marion County Record newswriter for Youngtown news, now Collett family matriarch and mother of cousins Max Hayen, Virginia Downing, Marilyn Geis, and John Hayen, all of Marion and rural Marion, and she is aunt of many Marion school students, Bowers and Colletts.

How could you miss so many? I'll forgive you and bring more cookies if you'll publish this letter in your "Letters to the Editor" column. Deal?

Sincerely and in fun,

Roma (Collett) Skaggs,

wife of W.P. (Bill) Skaggs
