To the Editor:
We wish to express thanks to the community for a successful Tree of Life project. The tree lighting on Dec. 2 was both meaningful and beautiful. Our thanks to the family of Helen Johnson for lighting the tree.
Many were moved by the music performed by Janet Post and by the more than 600 names that were submitted and were updated weekly in the book next to the tree.
Thank you to the donors who remembered a deceased loved one or who honored a living loved one with their gifts. The tree and what it symbolizes has truly become a part of Marion County's celebration of the holiday season.
