LETTERS: Cooperation appreciated
To the Editor:
I want to express in this letter my appreciation for all the help of those the past few weeks to make the city a safer place to walk and drive. Removing cars from the city streets when a storm is coming allows the city crew and private individuals to remove snow. I know this task has seemed endless. I want to thank all who have helped with this difficult task.
Shoveling one or two more feet of snow than you had to has really been appreciated by those who received that random act of kindness. Doing errands for those who should not be out in the weather shows everyone that this community cares.
If you have any concerns about snow removal by the city, please continue to bring it to our attention by calling the city office. Remember, it takes time, patience, and cooperation from everyone to succeed in this task. Each storm brings different problems.
Mother Nature already has provided me with enough winter beauty that I will soon be ready for springtime robins to appear.
