LETTERS: Dog was provoked

To the Editor:

I'm sure this letter is a waste of my time to try to point out the biased attack toward me by you and the Good Old Boy Mr. Swain.

First of all, I want it noted that the death of his dog and how it happened wasn't good. I feel sad for his loss.

If someone would check, they'd find that my son, Kevin, called the vet while Swain was there with his dog. He made arrangements to pay the vet bill and paid some money on it. He also indicated he would try to help him get another dog.

I was out to the kennel two days ago and met the dog for the first time and had my hand washed by this "dangerous" animal.

Swain's dog challenged the Pit Bull by barking at it. His dog spent his time running loose outside, causing everyone to wish it would shut up. I, for one, couldn't go outside without being greeted with a lot of barking.
