LETTERS: Glorious sight

To the Editor:

What a glorious sight! Marion has never been more beautiful with the Main Street Christmas lights and the many homes decorated from sidewalks to chimneys. A drive through town would even make the "Grinch" smile.

Just when you think you've seen it all — there is the drive around Marion County Lake. There are many beautifully decorated homes with their lights reflecting in the water. But, there are two homes in particular that would rival any decorations in the state.

On Lake Shore Dr. (west of Kingfisher's Inn) you will see the wonderful scene of Santa and his reindeer taking off over the water with a white "snowy" background of white lights and snow flakes.

The other extravaganza is on the east side of the lake on Echo Ln. (turn on Rock Rd. or Hill Rd. to Echo Ln.). A beautiful scene is waiting for you — reindeer, Santa Claus, a train, large star, and much more surrounded by thousands of colored lights. It is truly a Christmas wonderland.

So, when you are admiring the beautiful lights of Marion, don't miss the wonderland that awaits you at the Marion County Lake.
