LETTERS: Marion is special

To The Editor

I was born in Marion, Sept. 13, 1937, and attended Marion schools periodically. Marion still holds a special place in my life as my "home town."

Six months ago I came to Hobart, Okla., to care for my 88-year-old dad who at one time lived in the old stone house at the lake before there was a lake.

While looking for old photos, etc. to add to my family scrapbook, I came across an old autograph book I had when I was 10 years old or so. Behold there was an autograph by Dick Hoch among other school chums. At the time I thought he was the son of the newspaper Hoch but don't remember seeing his name in the paper while I have subscribed to it.

I'm considering auctioning it off on E-bay for a million dollars. Do you think I should try for two? (Kidding)
