LETTERS: Spirit of America
To the Editor:
Having read your piece last fall about "G.I. Joe and Lillie," our copy arrived just before Christmas.
I suppose the Left might see it as proof of their world view, but it seemed to me to catch the essential spirit of America in dealing with human nature and our dilemma. It sure contrasts times and attitudes.
A couple of days ago I ran onto a half-inch stack of short comments by various people related to our "cultural wars." It seems to me Joe Bonsall's little book highlights the observations of Balint Vazonyi and the findings of the "cognitive sciences of human nature."
We wish you well in your coming trip for the National World War II Memorial celebration.
