Lillian Krch
Lillian B. Krch, 95, of the Pilsen/Lincolnville area, died July 25, 2002, at Lake Point Nursing Center in El Dorado where she had been a resident for five years.
Born Dec. 25, 1906, in Bohemia, she was the daughter of the late James and Bessie (Vytlas) Svoboda.
She married Rudy Krch Oct. 23, 1928, at Pilsen. They live on a farm, operating a large dairy. She enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, and crochet work. She and her husband especially enjoyed polka and waltz dancing.
She was a devoted member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Holy Family parish and a member of the altar society. She also was active in 4-H leadership.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Florian and Edward, and her brother Edward Svoboda, she is survived by daughters Charlene Svitak of Pilsen, Genny Pletcher of Rosalia, and Claudine Krch of Lincolnville; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at the church in Pilsen with Father Paul Oborny as celebrant. Chris Pletcher was lector, Jeff Bina, vocalist, and Jeanne Rziha, organist.
Burial was in the church cemetery at Pilsen.
Casket bearers were Randy Svitak, Douglas Svitak, Todd Svitak, Steve Pletcher, Kelly Pletcher, Perry Pletcher, Kevin Krch, and Curtis Zimmer. Cal Rabon was an honorary bearer.
Terry, Trent, and Taylor Svitak and Isaac Horinek were Mass servers.
A memorial fund has been established with St. Ann's Altar Society.
