Lincolnville man awarded for service
Dennis Krause, 2910 Bluestem, Lincolnville, is the 2003 recipient of the Service Award from Marion County Conservation District.
Krause served on the conservation board for six years and was vice chairman for two.
He is actively involved in other community service organizations. Currently in his 13th year as a member of Marion County Farm Bureau board, he served as president three years.
He has been on the Middle Creek Watershed District board since 1985, where he served as treasurer and now is president.
He has been on the Lincolnville Cemetery Board for 20 years and serves as secretary.
Krause manages 2,200 acres of farm and grass land and runs 225 cows, some of which are leased.
His son, Ben, lives with him and is a sixth grader at Centre.
