Lindstrom, Thies wed in double-ring ceremony

Carri Ann Lindstrom and Eric Wayne Thies, both of Lenexa, were united in marriage June 19, 2004, at Elim Lutheran Church in Marquette. Pastor Larry Cross officiated during the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Don and Dixie Lundquist of Marquette and the late Vern Lindstrom, and Wayne and Sandra Thies of Russell and the late Carol Thies.

The bride, escorted by the groom, wore a white satin A-line gown with organza overlay, corset back, and chapel-length train. It featured a beaded, strapless bodice and asymmetrical wrap waist enhanced with iridescent crystals sweeping across the skirt and bordering the hemline. She carried a bouquet of white roses and blue hydrangea.

Traci Jo Bergmeier of Lincoln was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Traci Forssberg of Shawnee and Marci Fox of Marquette, sisters of the bride. They wore floor-length, periwinkle dresses and carried bouquets of white roses.

The best man was Thurston Thies of Kansas City, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Ty Waner of Marion, brother-in-law of the groom, and Kevin Lierz of Ottawa.

Wendy Mateega of Shawnee was the bride's personal attendant. Charlotte Waner of Marion, sister of the groom, was the ceremony coordinator. Scripture was read by Gail Chambers of Washington, D.C., and Heidi Thies of Kansas City, Mo., sister-in-law of the groom.

Guest book attendant was Natalie Thies of Russell, sister of the groom. Program attendants were Gail Chambers and Ryan Holmes of Overland Park. Gift attendants were Mary Anne Talbott of Hays and Lory Traugott of Marquette, cousins of the bride.

Melissa Johnson of Kirwin was the vocalist. Jackie Larson of Marquette was accompanist and organist.

A dinner and dance reception followed at the Red Coach Inn in McPherson. Erica Kruckenberg of Prosper, Texas, was the reception coordinator.

Reception hosts and hostesses were Darryl and Diane Talbott of Marquette, cousin of the bride, and Tom and Rosemary Martin of Blue Springs, Mo., aunt and uncle of the groom.

Cake was served by aunts of the bride Ione Nelson of Marquette and Judy White and Georgianna Leffler, both of Canton.

Following a honeymoon to Colorado Springs, Colo., the couple is at home in Lenexa. The enjoyed a second trip to Mexico in September.

The bride is a graduate of Smoky Valley High School in Lindsborg. She received a bachelor of arts degree in accounting and management from Bethany College in Lindsborg. She obtained a master's degree in business administration from Kansas State University. She is an accountant in corporate international reporting for Black and Veatch in Overland Park.

The groom is a graduate of Marion High School and holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Kansas State University and a bachelor of science in information systems from DeVry University. He is an information analyst for EDS in Overland Park.
