Lions Club car show is May 4
Marion Lions Club's ninth annual car show and swap meet will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 4 in Central Park.
Entry fee is $10 for either event. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the park. Dash plaques will be provided.
Trophies will be awarded to first, second, and third place in five categories: 1945 and older, 1946 to 1953, 1954 to 1963, 1964 and newer, and pickups.
Trophies also will be awarded for best of show and best paint.
Prizes will be given each hour and a special drawing will be held. Food and souvenirs will be available.
Citywide garage sales and sidewalk sales also will be held that day. For more information, contact Doug Marler at 620-382-3304.
