Larry and Connie Jenkins and Tia held a birthday party Sunday for their daughter, Oaklan's 12th birthday at the home of Adella Katz. Guests were Selma Ingram, Charles and Lori Smithhart, and Ian and Kadan Jenkins. Ice cream and cake was served. Oaklan opened her gifts.

Ian and Kaden Jenkins were guests of their grandparents, Larry and Connie Jenkins, Oaklan and Tia from Feb. 23-25.

Bill and Dollye Novak visited their daughter, Nancy Feb. 24 and 25 at Oklahoma City, Okla.

Larry Rudolph and Evelyn Strecker accompanied Douglas Strecker to Herington Monday morning where I had an appointment for my eyes. We drove to Marion for lunch at the Stone City Café and took care of some business and did some shopping.

I accompanied Selma Ingram to Elmo Feb. 25 where we visited Lawrence and Helen Ambrey. They wanted us to see their horse. Since we weren't far from Abilene, we went there for a Chinese dinner. Later we went sightseeing around Herington Lake.

Lost Springs American Legion met Monday afternoon at the home of Hallie Novak.

Micky Black visited his uncle, Larry Rudolph Sunday afternoon.

I saw a couple of robins under m maple tree. Alex Stuchlik said he put his bird feeder out. He saw lots of robins and other birds eating under the feeder. A good sign of spring approaching.

Morgan Albrecht of Salina spent Feb. 23 with her grandparents, Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu. She stayed till Saturday morning when her grandparents took her home.

Frances Stuchlik was a Feb. 25 dinner guest of Monty and Sarah Stuchlik.

Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu went to the pancake feed Feb. 25 at the Ramona parish hall.

Selma Ingram had supper Feb. 25 with Larry and Connie Jenkins.

The wind Saturday did quite a bit of damage to my roof on the south side. It also broke a peach tree east of the house. It won't be long before it will be time to plant potatoes.
