Neil and Jolene Albrecht, Salina, are the proud parents of a baby girl, Morgan Sue, born at 10:11 p.m. March 14 at the Salina Regional Hospital. Morgan weighed six pounds and seven ounces, and was 20 inches long. Morgan has a sister, Kallie Jo, three years old. Grandparents are Bea Albrecht of Herington and Mr. and Mrs. Junior Hanschu. Great-grandparents are Fred and Marguerite Utech of Ramona.
Alex and Jean Stuchlik and Bob and Irma Reznicek went to Gregory Holub and Pam Slayden's wedding Saturday at the Pilsen Catholic church. They also attended the reception and dance at Pilsen Community Center.
Larry Rudolph visited Thursday evening with Mike and Karen Walsh and daughter Renee.
My granddaughter, Sonja Strecker of Dallas Texas, visited Monday with me. We went shopping in Herington.
Kallie Jo Albrecht, Salina, is spending today (Monday) with her grandparents, Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu, while her mother Jolene and sister Morgan are in the Salina hospital. Grandparents are taking her home tonight.
Alex and Jean Stuchlik went to Wichita Sunday to visit Bob and Debbie Burns and family and Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Steiner.
Larry Rudolph enjoyed the pancakes Saturday that Tampa Lions Club served at the Tampa Senior Center.
Douglas Strecker, Hesston, and daughter, Sonja Strecker brought in Chinese supper Friday evening to celebrate my 89th birthday. I enjoyed the telephone calls from Mission, Texas; Libuse, La.; Silver Springs, Md.; and all the birthday cards.
Bob Reznicek and his mother Irma were pizza supper guests this past week of Charles and Mary Loewen, Hillsboro.
Monty and Sarah Stuchlik were Wednesday evening supper guests of their mother, Frances Stuchlik. They celebrated Monty's birthday.
Fred and Marguerite Utech accompanied Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu to Hillsboro Tuesday evening to attend the Musical Springs Festival program at the Hillsboro High School auditorium. Jakob Hanschu, son of Jayson and Jan Hanschu, was one of the first and second grade students who gave the program.
Frances Stuchlik entertained Stanley and Ruby Sharping of Wichita, Kenny Stuchlik of Towanda, and Ramona and Don Beisel of Tampa Saturday noon for dinner.
Ruby Sharping took her husband Stanley to St. Joseph hospital Sunday. He had a couple of blood clots.
Bob Reznicek and his mother Irma attended the Catholic workman breakfast of sausage, biscuits and gravy, and scrambled eggs with a silent auction Sunday morning after Mass at the Pilsen Catholic church. The auction was held for missions.
Frances Stuchlik accompanied Ramona Beisel Sunday to Salina where they went to see "The Passion of the Christ."
Mrs. Frank Wirtz handed out commodities Friday and Saturday morning for Lost Springs community.
