Neil and Jolene Albrecht and sister Kallie of Salina hosted a birthday party Saturday for one-year-old Morgan at Trinity Lutheran Church hall in Salina. Guests were grandparents, Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu; Sally Utech, Lawrence; Linda Jane Albrecht, Donna Staatz, and Velma Humbarger, all of Herington; Gary and Judy Newschafer, Lindsborg; Jayson and Jan Hanschu, Jakob, Jorge, and Jaxxon, Hillsboro; Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua, Windom; and neighbors and friends in Salina.
Games were played at four o'clock, evening dinner was served at five. Gifts were opened. Ice cream and Teddy bear cake was served later. Jolene cut a small square piece of cake and put a small lighted candle in it for Morgan to blow out. When she ate the piece of cake she got icing all over her face. Isn't that typical of a small child, and so much fun to watch?
While I am writing this news, it is raining. My yard is full of water. The yellow daffodils are in bloom. Tulips are up. I still have some flower beds and asparagus patch to clean.
