Betty Stenzel entertained Gregory Stenzel and friend Becky for Easter Sunday dinner.
Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu hosted a pre-Easter supper Saturday. All the grandchildren had an Easter egg hunt in the yard. They found all but one green plastic egg. Guests were Sally Utech of Lawrence, Fred and Marguerite Utech, Jayson and Jan Hanschu, Jakob and Jorge of Hillsboro, Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom, Neil and Jolene Albrecht and Kallie Jo and Morgan Sue of Salina.
Alex and Jean Stuchlik served Easter dinner Sunday to Robert and Debbie Burns and family of Wichita, Christopher and Melissa Stuchlik and sons of rural Lincolnville, Marcel and Mary Jane Steiner and Rita Stuchlik of Wichita. They had an Easter egg hunt.
Bob and Carol Makovec entertained with a Sunday Easter basket dinner. Guests were John and Helen Reznicek, rural Marion; Darren and Amy Makovec, Justin, Ryan, Dana, Shelby, and Ellie, Colleen Klug, Nicole and Alison, Mark Makovec, Chanell and Hunter, Troy and Robyn Heitfield, Taylor and Madison, all of Herington; Jennifer Makovec, Salina; Jason Stika, Shelly, Dalton, and Cody, Lincolnville; Kenneth and Debbie Reznicek, Sarah, Kary, Nicholas, and Nathan and friend Lee, Burlington; Ed and Mary Funk Reznicek, Ella and Evan, Golf; Charles and Mary Loewen, rural Hillsboro; Josie Loewen, Oklahoma City, Okla.; John and Lori Torline, Jennifer, Megan, Carolyn, and Matthew, Derby; and Bob and Irma Reznicek. While elders visited, children up to 30 years old hunted Easter eggs in the yard.
My son, Douglas A. Strecker of Hesston, portrayed the character of disciple Andrew in the "Passion of the Christ" pageant at the Abundant Life church in Hutchinson. Performances were Friday and Saturday nights and twice Sunday morning.
Fred and Adeline Warns of Salina, Kathy and Lyle Riedy, Rachel, Tony, Nicole, and a friend of Topeka, Ron and Sandra Tinkler, Alisha, Taylor, Katlyn, Sly and a friend of Salina, Jeff and Gayla Deines, Jessica, Shelby and Justin, Ross and Debbie Coup, Samantha and Adam of Hope, Terry and Julie Deines, Makenzie, Dylan, and Carly were guests of Mervin and Leona Deines Easter Sunday for dinner. Grandchildren had lots of fun finding Easter eggs on their grandparents' lawn.
Gregory Stenzel, daughter Nikki, and Becky Jackson were April 4 dinner guests of Betty Stenzel.
Frances Stuchlik accompanied Monty and Sarah Stuchlik to Wichita Easter Sunday where they had dinner with Sarah's sister, Pat Wade. Other guests were relatives and friends. The Stuchliks also visited Ruby and Stanley Sharping in Wichita.
My guests Easter Sunday for dinner were Clark Strecker, Laura, Austin, and Tailor of Rose Hill. It was so beautiful in the afternoon, we were outside most of the time. I had a basket of dyed Easter eggs and candy for all. Douglas called me Saturday evening to wish me "Happy Easter."
Melissa Stuchlik of Wichita visited Saturday morning with grandma, Frances Stuchlik.
Larry Rudolph visited Thursday evening with me. He came back Friday to feed the cattle. He also visited his sister, Mary Helen Black Thursday afternoon in Herington.
Sarah Stuchlik visited Thursday evening with Frances Stuchlik.
Don and Ramona Beisel of Tampa visited Saturday afternoon with their mother, Frances Stuchlik.
Larry Rudolph was an Easter Sunday dinner guest of Mike and Karen Walsh and Renee.
