Jolene Albrecht, Kallie, Morgan, and Landon of Salina spent Friday and Saturday with Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu.

Sorry to hear that Bob Kleinschmidt died while vacationing in Colorado. Our sympathy to Arlene and the family.

Selma Ingram has been helping her daughter, Adella Katz, paint her house.

Micky Black of Herington visited with me Thursday afternoon.

Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom helped Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu combine wheat Sunday. Junior said grandchildren had fun in the wheat in the truck.

Bob and Carol Makovec picked up Irma Reznicek Sunday at St. Luke Living Center and took her to Pilsen Catholic church. After Mass, they ate dinner at The Big Scoop.

I'm sure glad it's raining this morning. Everything is so dry. The row crops, alfalfa, and pastures need moisture. There have been large cracks in the ground. I had to water my garden every day. Several of the farmers in this area finished combining their wheat yesterday, June 26.

Charles Tajchman of Marion visited his aunt, Frances Stuchlik June 19.

Irma Benda of Pilsen visited me the evening of June 25 while her husband Marcel and son William were combining on William's farm north of me.

Kyla Allenbach, Hadley and Jenika of Moundridge were Saturday and Sunday guests of Frances Stuchlik.

Paul and Raelene Hajek visited Mildred Hajek June 24.

Micky Black of Herington helped uncle Larry Rudolph with field work June 25.

I called Leona Hajek this Wednesday morning for news. She said she was working on her sister-in-law, Irene Waylan's hair. Irene is from Miami, Okla., and is here from June 25-29 visiting her mom, Mildred Hajek and brothers and families.

Larry Rudolph stopped in June 26 to check the battery and my cattle.

Micky Black of Herington called on his uncle, Larry Rudolph June 16.

Douglas Strecker and Matthew Jarrell of Hesston were June 16 dinner guests of Evelyn Strecker. Douglas brought the large bales from the field to the lot while Matthew changed two tires on the hay trailer. Later, both removed the straw bales that were around the house and put them on the trailer. Larry Rudolph removed the bales June 17.

Fred and Marguerite Utech accompanied Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu to Salina June 15 where they watched granddaughter, Kellie Albrecht play coach baseball at South High School.

Alex and Jean Stuchlik drove to Wichita Saturday to attend the wedding of Caroline Mohr and Steve Peterson at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. They also attended the reception, dinner, and dance at the Garvey Center.

The Marion County road crew is working on the sides of the blacktop road from Lost Springs to Ramona. They are working by my place today, Wednesday.

Frances Stuchlik accompanied Don and Ramona Beisel to Hillsboro United Methodist Church June 9 to attend John and Wanda Fox's 50th wedding anniversary celebration. The Foxes are from Lehigh.

Bob Reznicek picked up his mother, Irma Reznicek at St. Luke Living Center June 17 and took her to Mass at St. John Nep. Church, Pilsen. They had lunch at The Big Scoop and later went shopping in Hillsboro and sightseeing around the countryside.

Selma Ingram was a Sunday supper guest of her daughter and family, Larry and Connie Jenkins, Oaklan and Tia.

Kenny and Melinda Stuchlik and Patrick of Towanda came June 16 to the home of Frances Stuchlik to change her electric stove. They were her dinner guests.

Adella Katz and Selma Ingram started to paint Adella's house this past weekend. Troy Madron is replacing some of the siding.

Guests of Monty and Sarah Stuchlik for a pizza dinner to celebrate Father's Day were Frances Stuchlik, Mike and Candee Thode of Wichita, Ross and Megan Stuchlik of Tampa, Dan and Melissa Stuchlik, Tanner and Allie of Lincolnville.

Alex Stuchlik said he is digging some large potatoes. I'm picking peas, beans, and blackberries. Men are busy getting their combines ready, haying, and planting.

Ramona Beisel of Tampa cleaned her mother, Frances Stuchlik's house June 18 and 19. Frances said she can see through her windows now.

Brett Hajek of Newton and Darren and Trent Hajek of Salina were weekend visitors of their parents, Ronnie and Leona Hajek.

Betty Stenzel and Gregory Stenzel and Nikki had dinner at Junction City on Father's Day.
