My son, Lowell Strecker, San Antonio, Texas, called Saturday telling me they returned from a 10-day trip to the West. He said it was 90 degrees in San Antonio.

We received five inches of rain Friday and Saturday. Temperatures dropped down in the 50s. I looked at my thermometer Saturday afternoon and it read 64 degrees.
