Oaklan and Tia Jenkins were July 21 overnight guests of their grandma, Selma Ingram.

Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu went to Relay for Life Friday evening at the Hillsboro track.

Douglas Strecker of Hesston spent July 21 with me. He brought in large bales from the alfalfa brome grass fields in the morning. After dinner, he mowed my lawn. His wife, Marsha and a friend, Ann Schilling of Peabody visited with me in the afternoon. I showed them my garden, tomatoes in clusters of four and five. They thought my morning glories and other flowers were beautiful.

Bob Reznicek, Nicole Klug and Alison Klug of Herington were July 21 dinner guests of Bob and Carol Makovec.

Frances Stuchlik visited July 21 with Alex and Jean Stuchlik. They gave her some tomatoes. Alex told me this morning (July 25) that he has 25 tomato plants — picking a lot of tomatoes and cucumbers.

Marlin and Jill Utech of Collinsville, Tenn., came July 21 to the home of his parents, Fred and Marguerite Utech. That evening the Fred Utechs hosted a barbecue supper. Other guests were Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu, Jayson and Jan Hanschu, Jakob, Jorge, and Jaxxson of Hillsboro, Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom, and Jolene Albrecht, Kallie, Morgan, and Landon of Salina.

Clark Strecker, Austin and Tailor of Rose Hill were my July 22 chicken dinner guests. In the afternoon, Clark and Austin brought in more big bales. Tailor and I watched a movie on TV. I also showed her how to embroidery.

Frances Stuchlik visited with Alva Holub July 22 at Lincolnville. Frances Stuchlik drove to Tampa Monday to visit her daughter, Ramona Beisel.

My son, Lowell Strecker of San Antonio, Texas, who recently had neck surgery, is doing OK.
