Diann Ensz, Natalie, Robyn, and Joseph of Keller, Texas, were Sept. 1-3 guests of Alex and Jean Stuchlik. Sunday dinner guests of the Stuchliks were Chris and Melissa Stuchlik and family of Lincolnville, Robert and Debbie Burns and family and Rita Schawe, all of Wichita, and Gary and JoAnn Stuchlik and family. Diann Ensz and family left Sunday evening for Newton where they visited her husband Tom's parents before going home on Monday.
Sonja Strecker of Hesston and Gabriel Strecker of Newton came Sept. 7 to pick me up. We went to Hesston where we visited Douglas and Marsha Strecker. We took Gabriel back to his home at Newton when his mom, Julie, got home from work. Douglas took me home that evening.
Morgan Albrecht of Salina was a Saturday and Sunday visitor of her grandparents, Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu. Junior and Jeanetta took her back home.
Oaklan and Tia Jenkins spent time Sept. 8 with their grandmother, Selma Ingram.
The Alex Stuchlik Band played at the Labor Day festivities at Burdick.
Selma Ingram ate Sunday dinner with Lorene Hawkinson at the Herington nursing home.
Larry Rudolph, Ross Stuchlik, and his dad, Monty Stuchlik loaded up eight of my black Angus calves Sept. 5 and took them to the Herington Livestock Sale. Cattle were selling at a good price.
Alex and Jean Stuchlik went to the Gary Stuchlik home Sunday evening. They and Chris and Melissa Stuchlik and family helped Joann celebrate her birthday.
I was so sorry to hear of the death of Ida Benda of Madera, Calif. Her graveside funeral at Pilsen Cemetery was Sept. 13. We wish to express our sympathy to the family.
Selma Ingram accompanied Linda Green and her daughter, Roberta Brubaker of Lincolnville to Canton Monday morning. Linda took care of some business and then they ate dinner at Canton.
Lawrence and Helen Ambrey of Elmo were here Sept. 11. They brought me some tomatoes and got some hay.
