I was so sorry to hear this morning to hear that Bill Meyer died Nov. 14 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was one great man. He was always so kind and friendly. I was a correspondent for many years. When I went in the office, he always greeted me with a smile, and had nice things to say.
Carol Makovec visited Irma and Bob Reznicek Nov. 10.
Centre Elementary School presented a "salute to our veterans" program Nov. 10. Those attending from this area were Bill and Dollye Novak, Larry Rudolph, Ron and Leona Hajek, Jeff and Terry Deines, and Evelyn Strecker.
My son Clark spent Nov. 11 with me. He was my dinner guest. He finished making the back of the hay rack. Laura Trebot was with us till 11 o'clock. She had to leave to board a train going to Kansas City from Herington.
Irma Reznicek accompanied Bob and Carol Makovec to Herington Nov. 12, where they attended a birthday party in honor of Taylor Heitfield at her parents' home, Troy and Robyn Heitfield.
After attending services Nov. 12 at Ramona Trinity Lutheran Church, Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu drove to Salina to have dinner with Neil and Jolene Albrecht, Kallie and Morgan. After dinner, they went Christmas shopping.
Alex Stuchlik told me he had no news. He said there was a squirrel in the middle of his yard standing up chewing on a walnut. This is the time I too see squirrels on the ground picking and storing walnuts for the winter. Not all the walnut trees had walnuts this year.
Larry Rudolph fed my cattle the evening of Nov. 14, thinking it was going to rain and possible snow the next morning.
Tom Gleason of Oregon, son of the late Rose Gleason of Wichita, called Irma and Bob Reznicek Sunday afternoon. He was wanting to know the activities taking place in the family.
Jerome Hajek of Marion visited his mother, Mildred Hajek, Nov. 15.
Ronnie and Verena Reznicek of British Columbia, Canada, called Irma and Bob Reznicek Nov. 12. It was Ronnie's birthday.
