Tom and Diann Ensz, Colton, Kyle, Jacob, and Joseph of Keller, Texas, visited with Alex and Jean Stuchlik for a week.

Bob Reznicek called me and said his mother, Irma who had hip surgery Tuesday at Newton Medical Center is being released this Monday morning and he was going to get her and enter her at St. Luke Hospital in Marion. Bob visited his mother several times while she was in Newton.

Charles and Lori Smithhart, Hillsboro, hosted a Thanksgiving Day supper. Guests were her mother, Adele Katz; brother, Steve Katz; grandma, Selma Ingram; sister, Barbie and husband Bern of Lawrence; and Bill and Mary Ann Smithhart, Marion.

Larry Rudolph, Mike and Karen Walsh and daughter Renee, Mr. and Mrs. Shane McElroy of El Dorado, Mindy McElroy and friend of Andover, and Kim Easterling and friend Paul of Wichita were Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of Ray and Connie Hastings, El Dorado.

A week ago we had four inches of snow. This morning I can see the trees, fences, buildings, and the earth covered with another three to four inches. The road grader went by my place a couple of times. The school buses, students, and teachers headed for Lost Springs schools about 8 a.m. It is beautiful outside.

Mervin and Leona Deines served Thanksgiving Day dinner to Vernon and Bonnie Deines of Wichita, Weldon and Rosemary Deines of Herington, Christine Bartel, Dallas and Macey of Halstead, and Ross and Debbie Coup, Samantha and Adam of Hope. Jeff and Gayla, Jessica, Shelby, and Justin joined them in the evening.

Terry and Julie Deines, Mackenzie, Dylan, and Carly drove to Kansas City to spend Thanksgiving Day with her sister.

Larry Rudolph fed my cattle Friday evening and ate supper with me. He said his nephew, Shane McElroy and some friends from El Dorado were out hunting pheasants in this area.

Mervin Deines visited Patrick Tajchman Wednesday at Marion Manor in Marion.

Monty Stuchlik and sons Danny Stuchlik of Wichita and Ross Stuchlik visited Friday afternoon with Frances Stuchlik.

Mike and Sandra Jo Smith and daughter, Hallie of Great Bend were guests Wednesday night of Dr. Bob and Hallie Novak. Thursday morning all of them drove to Chanute to spend Thanksgiving Day with Troy and Robin Pervin and children.

Bob Reznicek ate supper Friday evening with Bob and Carol Makovec.

Frances Stuchlik's guests for Thanksgiving Day dinner were Ruby Scharping and son, Brian and Jean Scharping and family of Wichita. Additional supper guests were Mark and Roberta Stuchlik and daughter, Jodi of Edmund, Okla., Kenny and Melinda Stuchlik and kids of Towanda. Additional afternoon guests were Randy and Julie Stuchlik of Abilene.

Michael Stika and Jason Stika of Lincolnville helped Bob Reznicek Saturday morning take cattle from pasture to his home.

Douglas Strecker and daughter, Sonya of Hesston picked me up Thanksgiving Day morning and I accompanied them to Rose Hill where we had dinner with Clark and Laura Strecker. Other guests were her mother, Anna Drebot and brother, Chris Drebot of Omaha, Neb., and Yancy and Julie Strecker and son, Gabriel of Newton. Anna and son, Chris spent until Sunday morning with Clark and Laura.

Larry and Connie Jenkins, Oaklan and Tia hosted a Thanksgiving Day dinner for Michael and Heidi Jenkins, Ian and Kaylan of Hillsboro and Matthew Jenkins of Ramona.

Don and Ramona Beisel of Tampa visited her mother, Frances Stuchlik Sunday afternoon.

Junior Hanschu stopped in this Monday morning, brought his news, and fed my cattle.

Guests of Fred and Marguerite Utech Saturday for a belated Thanksgiving dinner were Garland and Dianne Utech and Lance Utech of Amsterdam, Mo., Marlon and Jill Utech of Collierville, Tenn., Jayson and Jan Hanschu, Jakob, Jorge, and Jaxxon of Hillsboro, Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom, Neil and Jolene Albrecht, Kallie and Morgan of Salina, Amy Gregory of Kansas City, Mo., Sally Utech of Lawrence, and Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu.

Kallie and Morgan Albrecht stayed with Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu from Thursday evening to Saturday noon.

Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua were Saturday morning visitors of Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu.

Betty Stenzel entertained her son, Gregory Stenzel, Becky Jackson, and Bonnie Reagen of Hillsboro for Thanksgiving supper.

As I am writing this news, big flakes of snow are coming down. They say the snow is wet.
