Fred and Marguerite Utech accompanied Junior and Jeannetta Hanschu to Hillsboro Dec. 14 to watch their grandson, Jakob Hanschu in the Holiday Magic Christmas program at Hillsboro High School auditorium.
Tom Reznicek of Lawrence visited his mom, Irma Reznicek and brother Bob from Dec. 16-19 and helped with some chores.
Selma Ingram accompanied her daughter, Adella Katz to Hillsboro Dec. 17 where they were guests of Charles and Lori Smithhart. The women made cookies and fudge for Christmas.
Fred and Marguerite Utech accompanied Junior and Jeannetta Hanschu to Salina Dec. 17 where they attended the Christmas program during church services at Trinity Lutheran Church. Their granddaughters, Kelly and Morgan Albrecht were in the program. After services, they and the Albrechts went out to lunch. Afterward they visited at the Albrecht home.
Micky Black of Herington visited Dec. 15 with his uncle, Larry Rudolph.
When I was in Herington Dec. 15, I visited with Diana Hegle. We hadn't seen each other for some time. We had much to catch up with. We were surprised when we mentioned what we were going to serve for Christmas Day for our families. Our thoughts were so similar.
Lori Torline of Derby helped her mother with some cleaning Dec. 18.
Frances Stuchlik didn't have any news when I called her, but said she was making kolaches for Christmas.
Larry Rudolph fed my cattle Dec. 19 before it got dark. He has been helping Paul Backhus of Tampa drill water wells.
It is dark and looks like it is going to rain some more. My yard is full of water. If it froze, it would be a perfect place to skate. When I called Junior Hanschu for news, he answered by singing, "Let it rain, let it rain."
