Clark Strecker of Rose Hill spent all day Aug. 19 with me. He weed-eated in the morning. In the afternoon he started to mow my lawn, noticed he had a flat tire on the front of the riding mower, and went to Tampa to get it fixed. He finished mowing at 7 p.m., ate supper, and returned home.
We are so thankful of the more than two inches of rain. Larry Rudolph said some of his Sudan grass grew many inches after the rain. In the mornings the grass has been so wet since the rains. The purple morning glories along my fence look so much prettier.
After being here all day Aug. 14 tearing down the small corral fence, I returned home with Douglas Strecker. I spent the night with Douglas, Marsha, and Matthew. The next day, Douglas and Marsha took me to Wichita for a doctor's appointment. We ate dinner out. The doctor aid I was a perfect model for an elderly woman.
Don and Ramona Beisel of Tampa visited her mother, Frances Stuchlik Sunday afternoon.
I have been busy canning tomatoes and cooked peaches off my tree. I see school buses, students, and teachers driving by. Larry Rudolph visited with me Aug. 22.
