Mervin and Leona Deines and his brother and wife Weldon and Rosemary Deines of Herington drove to Sterling, Colo., Saturday morning to visit Weldon and Rosemary's son and wife Curtis and Jennifer Deines. It is so dry Larry Rudolph put out a bale of brome grass in my corral for my cattle Monday morning while the grass was damp. The grass everywhere is so dry a hot exhaust can catch the grass on fire. We just got a sprinkle of rain Sunday night while Lincolnville got an inch and hail.
Mike and Karen Walsh and Renee visited Ray and Connie Hastings in El Dorado Wednesday.
Irma Reznicek accompanied Betty Stroda to Manhattan Tuesday and visited all day with Micki Holub.
It is so nice to live in the country close to a blacktop road. People who go by not only wave, but honk their horns. Terry Deines has been so busy pulling trailers with his tractor, picking up bales across the road.
Irma Reznicek accompanied her daughter Mary Loewen of Hillsboro to Derby Thursday to visit Lori Torline, Jennifer, Megan, Carolyn, and Matthew before school starts.
