No commodities will be distributed at the Ramona Senior Center during the month of July. The next distribution will be in September.

Gail and Diana Utech and Lance and Allie Utech of Amsterdam, Mo., were guests of Fred and Marguerite Utech from Friday to Sunday. Joining them Saturday evening to celebrate Allie's first birthday, which was July 10, were Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom and Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu.

Leona Deines called on me Tuesday morning. I showed her the large potatoes I dug out of my garden. Now I wish I had planted more of them. She thought the purple morning glories on my fence were pretty.

Jakob and Jorge Hanschu of Hillsboro visited their grandparents, the Joe Nowaks of Pilsen and Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu, and their great-grandparents Fred and Marguerite Utech from Wednesday to Sunday night while their parents Jayson and Jan Hanschu were on an American Family Insurance Company trip.

Larry Rudolph and Ted Doman of Herington went to Wichita Tuesday on a business trip. Larry visited me in the evening. Larry attended Lester Tajchman's sale on Saturday.

Mervin and Leona Deines drove to Hope Sunday evening to see their grandson Adam Coup play ball.

Frances Stuchlik accompanied Monty and Sarah Stuchlik to Wichita Sunday morning and attended Mass at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. They visited Father Dick Stuchlik, who offered the Mass. They also visited Stanley Sharping, a surgery patient at Via Christi-St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Ramona Beisel is feeling better and now is working part time at her job.

Mervin Deines said they are through combining. Now it is time to put up hay. Some farmers are plowing stubble fields. I watered the garden this morning and picked some ripe tomatoes and yellow and zucchini squash.
