Lost Springs: Frances Stuchlik celebrates birthday

Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu went to Hillsboro Friday to the Christmas open house for American Family Insurance, Hillsboro State Bank, and Pat Nuss Real Estate.

Ruby and Stanley Sharping and Sonya Carrillo and little ones of Wichita, Kenny and Melinda Stuchlik and family of Towanda, and Don and Ramona Beisel of Tampa were post-Thanksgiving guests of Frances Stuchlik Nov. 30.

Mervin and Leona Deines attended the Centre Elementary kindergarten through sixth grade Christmas program Dec. 3 at the Centre High School gym. Their grandchildren Ashley, Justin, and Mckenzie Deines were in the program.

Betty Stenzel hosted a post-Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 30 for Gregory Stenzel, his daughter Nikki Stenzel, and Becky Jackson. Nikki decorated her grandmother's Christmas tree after dinner. She decorated her dad's tree later.

Douglas Strecker of Hesston visited me Sunday afternoon and stayed for supper. We made plans for Christmas.

Monty and Sarah Stuchlik and Ross, Alex and Jean Stuchlik, and Larry Stuchlik of Lehigh celebrated Frances Stuchlik's 81st birthday at her home Dec. 4. Frances' other children called to wish her a happy birthday.

Junior Hanschu took Erich Utech to Salina Monday to see his eye doctor.

Kevin Stuchlik of Wichita was a Friday visitor of his grandmother, Frances Stuchlik, and went hunting.

Larry Rudolph fed my cattle Friday and was my supper guest. He said he swathed and baled 100 bales of green grass.

Mervin and Leona Deines, Ross and Debbie Coup, Samantha and Adam of Hope, Terry and Julie Deines, Makenzie and Dylan, other relatives, and friends celebrated the eighth birthday of Justin Deines and the 14th birthday of Jessica Deines Friday night at the home of their parents, Jeff and Gayla Deines.

Gregory Stenzel, Becky Jackson, Nikki Stenzel, and Betty Stenzel had dinner in Salina Saturday.

Frances Stuchlik attended the Herington Lutheran Home's Christmas dinner Monday at the Rockin' V Restaurant.

Mervin and Leona Deines attended the Christmas vocal and band program of Centre junior and senior high schools Monday night. Their granddaughter Jessica Deines was in the junior high program.

Carol Makovec picked up Irma Reznicek Tuesday and they attended the Centre Elementary School's K-6 Christmas program at the high school.

Bob and Carol Makovec, John and Helen Reznicek of Marion, Charles and Mary Loewen of Hillsboro, and Bob and Irma Reznicek ate Thursday at D's Café.

Irma Reznicek accompanied Magdalen Dvorak to McPherson for the Harvest House Mass, dinner, and program at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Alex and Jean Stuchlik drove to Wichita Sunday to visit Bob and Debbie Burns and family and Rita Stuchlik.

Carol Makovec picked up Irma Reznicek Saturday and they attended the Homemakers gourmet party at the home of Colleen Klug.

Bob and Irma Reznicek attend the Compassionate Friends candlelight ceremony Saturday in the courtyard of the Marion Presbyterian Church.

I just received word from my cousin Connie Maronville that her sister, Gerarda Benda Shramek of Hutchinson, died this Monday morning.
