Neil and Jolene Albrecht and Kallie of Salina were Saturday supper guests of Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu. They left Kallie with her grandparents. Kallie will be staying with her grandparents and her great-grandparents, Fred and Marguerite Utech, from Monday to Friday while Neil and Jolene take a week's trip to Cancun, Mexico.
Larry Rudolph visited me last Tuesday afternoon. Irma Benda came that evening to chat. She was on her way home from Herington.
Charles and Lori Smithhart of Hillsboro were Sunday supper guests of Adele and Steve Katz.
Oaklan and Tia Jenkins were Friday supper and night guests of Selma Ingram.
John and Helen Reznicek of Marion, Bob and Carol Makovec, Charles and Mary Loewen of Hillsboro, and Bob and Irma Reznicek ate at the Durham Café Friday night.
I visited with Donna Southers Saturday afternoon at the coin laundry in Herington. Donna said five bowling teams were playing at the Herington bowling alley. She is president of the women's bowling league that had seven teams bowling the week before.
Marcel and Irma Benda of rural Marion visited Mildred and Francis Hajek Sunday night.
Larry Rudolph visited Mike and Karen Walsh and Renee one day last week.
Mildred Hajek said she could read her thermometer outside of her window and it read 32 degrees. I hope it doesn't get too icy and cause a lot of accidents.
Mervin and Leona Deines drove to Manhattan Saturday to attend the Kansas State-Oklahoma basketball game. Oklahoma won, but Mervin said it was an exciting game.
