Bob and Carol Makovec entertained with a dinner on Easter Sunday. Their guests were Darren and Amy Makovec, Shelby, Ellie, Dana, Justin, and Ryan, Jennifer Makovec of Salina, Randy and Colleen Klug, Brandon, Alison, and Nicole, Troy and Robyn Heitfield, Drake, Taylor, and Madison, and Chanell and Hunter Makovec, all of Herington, Cory Klug of Wichita, John and Betty Bowman of Springfield, Va., John and Helen Reznicek of Marion, Kenneth and Debbie Reznicek, Sarah, Kary, Nathan, and Nicholas of Burlington, Charles and Mary Loewen, Josie and Jeremy of Hillsboro, Ed and Mary Fund Reznicek, Ella and Evan of Goff, John and Lori Torline, Jennifer, Megan, Carolyn, and Matthew of Derby, and Bob and Irma Reznicek. The children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in the afternoon.

The monthly potluck dinner was held Thursday at the Ramona Senior Center. Twenty-five members and guests were present. Evelyn Strecker gave the prayer. "Happy Birthday" was sung to Frances Hanschu in honor of her 80th birthday. Ten remained in the afternoon to play Bingo. I had the pleaseure of sitting beside Martha Ehrhardt during the meal — we hadn't seen each other for 60 years.

Mervin and Leona Deines hosted an Easter dinner. Guests were Fred and Adeline Warns, Sandra and Ron Kinkelaar, and Taylor and Katelon Sly of Salina, Alisa Sly of Hope, Lyle and Kathy Riedy, Rachel and Tony and Nichole Riedy and friend of Topeka, Jeff and Gayla Deines, Jessica, Shelby and Justin, Ross and Debbie Coup, Samantha and Adam of Hope, and Terry and Julie Deines, Makenzie and Dylan. An Easter egg hunt was enjoyed as much by the adults as well as the children.

Bill and Dollye Novak entertained Jim and Tina Novak and Christa of Tampa at a four o'clock dinner on Easter Sunday.

Ron and Leona Hajek and Trent hosted an Easter dinner for Mildred Hajek, Francis Hajek, Brett Hajek of El Campa, Texas, Darren Hajek of Salina, and Leon Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Richmond and family, Bob Richmond, and Bernard and Janice Waner and family, all of Marion.

Brett Hajek of El Campa, Texas, visited his parent, the Ronnie Hajeks from April 17 to 22.

Marion County Department for Elderly held its board meeting Friday at the Ramona Senior Center. Dinner was served at noon to 24 officers and guests. The next meeting will be May 16 in Lincolnville.

Paul and Raelene Hajek and grandchildren Cade and Maggie McLean visited Mildred and Francis Hajek on Saturday.

Douglas Strecker of Hesston picked me up early Easter Sunday and we met Yancy and Julie Strecker of Newton in Hesston before leaving for Hutchinson to attend the "Life of Christ" play at the Abundant Life Community Church. After the service, we ate in Newton, then visited at Yancy and Julie's home. They wanted me to see the home they bought recently. The crab apple trees and lilacs were in bloom in their front yard. Yancy's musical talent was depicted in one room and her artistic talent was shown in a couple of rooms. Douglas loaded a couple of small bales in his truck before leaving Sunday evening for his home.

Jerome Hajek of Marion visited Mildred and Francis Hajek on Friday. Gary and Vickie Hajek visited them on Saturday.

Larry Rudolph and Micky Black of Herington visited me Friday evening.

Adele Katz and Steve entertained Selma Ingram, Larry and Connie Jenkins, Oaklan and Tia, and Charles and Lori Smithhart of Hillsboro.

Alex and Jean Stuchlik hosted an Easter dinner for Christopher and Melissa Stuchlik and family of Tampa, Gary and Jo Ann Stuchlik and family of Marion, and Bob and Debbie Burns and family, Rita Stuchlik, and Marcel and Mary Jane Steiner, all of Wichita.

My cousins Frank and Sylvia Echroat of Mission, Texas, called last week to tell me they were thinking of me and that they are OK. Frank is 90 and Sylvia is 89.

Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu, Sally Utech of Lawrence, Edna Mueller of Tampa, and Erich Utech of Ramona were five o'clock dinner guests of Fred and Marguerite Utech on Easter.
