Lost Springs: Ramona Senior Center changes meeting dates

Troy and Robyn Heitfield, Drake and Taylor of Herington hosted a celebration for Madison's fourth birthday. She opened her gifts and they served cake and ice cream to Irma and Bob Reznicek, other relatives, and friends.

Mervin and Leona Deines attended the Farmers Union convention Saturday afternoon and evening at the Holiday Center in McPherson. They went back Sunday to attend the activities of that day.

Those who ate together Saturday evening after Mass at St. John's Catholic Church in Herington were Bob and Carol Makovec, Irma Reznicek, and Colleen Klug, Nicole and Alison.

Monty and Sarah Stuchlik hosted a dinner Saturday in celebration of Candee Thode's birthday. Other guests were Candee's husband Mike Thode and Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik of Wichita, Larry Stuchlik of Lehigh, Ross Stuchlik, and Frances Stuchlik.

I checked and fixed some fence Tuesday afternoon and checked the battery for the electric fence. While I was out there I noticed the ground in the pasture and wheat field was so dry and powdery. We need a lot of moisture. There was fog and frost Monday morning. The trees, bushes, and fence were white with frost.

Larry Rudolph visited his sister Mary Helen Black, Micky and Lance in Herington last week.

Irma and Bob Reznicek visited Bob and Carol Makovec Friday evening. Bob is recuperating after gall bladder surgery at St. Luke Hospital, Marion.

I received word that my cousin, Zelpha Pospisil, 85, died Thursday evening. Her funeral was Saturday at the Christian Church in El Reno, Okla.

Stanley and Ruby Sharping of Wichita visited Frances Stuchlik on Sunday. They ate dinner in Herington.

Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu and Fred and Marguerite Utech drove to Salina Sunday. They were guests of Neil and Jolene Albrecht and Kallie for a "cowboy soup" supper.
