Stuchlik families celebrated Christmas Sunday at the Boy Scout Hall in Hillsboro. Those who enjoyed the day's festivities were Father Dick Stuchlik, Jim and Connie Janzen, Ruby Scharping, Brian and Jan Scharping and family, Jeff and Julie Scharping and family, and Melissa Stuchlik and son, Tanner, all of Wichita.

Terry and Grace Stuchlik, Katie, Mike, and Peter of Emporia stayed with Frances Stuchlik until Monday afternoon.
Danny Stuchlik of Wichita and his brother, Ross, visited their grandma, Frances Stuchlik Monday.
Those helping Bob Reznicek celebrate his birthday Wednesday evening were John and Helen Reznicek of Marion, Bob and Carol Makovec, and Charles and Mary Loewen of Hillsboro. They ate supper at Al's Café in Lost Springs.
Mary Loewen did some housework Wednesday afternoon for her mother, Irma Reznicek.
Ralph and Betty Stroda of Herington brought in supper Wednesday evening for Irma and themselves. It was too cold for Irma to get out to celebrate Bob's birthday.
Christmas Eve Larry and Connie Jenkins and girls, Oaklen and Tia hosted a supper for Matthew Jenkins of Ramona, Michael and Heidi Jenkins, Ian and Kaden of Hillsboro, and Selma Ingram of Lost Springs.
Charles and Lori Smithhart of Hillsboro hosted a supper Christmas Eve for Adele Katz and son, Steve, Barbie and Barren of Lawrence and Charles' sister of Hillsboro.
Gregory Stenzel, Becky Jackson, and Betty Stenzel attended the winter concert Dec. 21 at Centre High School. Nikki Stenzel, Gregory's daughter, was in the concert.
Gregory Stenzel, Becky Jackson, and Betty Stenzel went shopping Wednesday in Salina. They ate dinner and supper while there.
Attending the Sunday morning service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ramona were Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu, Jayson and Jan Hanschu, Jakob, Jorge, and Jaxxon of Hillsboro, Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom, Neil and Jolene Albrecht, Kallie, and Morgan of Salina, and Fred and Marguerite Utech. After the services, all went to Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu's home for Christmas dinner. They opened gifts in the afternoon. In the evening, they had snacks. All of them stayed overnight, some of them in sleeping bags except for grandma and grandma Fred and Margareite Utech. Most of them got up at 7:30 a.m.
Bob and Irma Reznicek hosted a gathering Christmas Eve for snacks. Guests were John and Helen Reznicek of Marion, Bob and Carol Makovec, Darren and Amy Makovec, Dana, Ellie, and Shelby, Randy and Colleen Klug, Nicole and Alison, Mark Makovec, Chanell and Hunter, Troy and Robyn Hietfield, Taylor, Madison, and Drake, all of Herington.
Brandon and Kristen Makovec and son, Andrew, of Ft. Meade, Md., where Brandon is stationed, Jennifer Makovec of Salina, Charles and Mary Loewen of Hillsboro, Josie Loewen of Oklahoma City, Okla., Jeremy and Dionne Loewen of Manhattan, and John and Lori Torline, Jennifer, Megan, Carolyn, and Matthew of Derby. The Torline family also visited the afternoon.
After attending the Christmas Eve program at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ramona, the following went to the home of Mervin and Leona Deines to eat and open gifts: Jeff and Gayla Deines, Jessica, Shelby, Justin, Ross and Debbie Coup, Samantha and Adam of Hope, and Terry and Julie Deines, Makenzie, Dylan and Carly.
Gregory Stenzel took his daughter, Nikki, to Junction City Friday to do some shopping and eat.
Christmas Eve, Gregory Stenzel, Becky Jackson, and Betty Stenzel went to Herington for the Christmas program at Our Redeemer church in Herington. Nikki Stenzel was in the program.
Larry and Connie Jenkins, Oaklen and Tia hosted a dinner Christmas Day for Selma Ingram and Matthew Jenkins of Ramona and Michael and Heidi Jenkins, Ian and Kaden of Hillsboro.
Adele Katz and son, Steve, Barbie, and Barren of Lawrence were Christmas Day guests of Charles and Lori Smithhart of Hillsboro.
Evelyn Strecker hosted a Christmas Day dinner and lunch for Douglas Strecker and Sonya Strecker of Hesston, Marsha Jarrell of Peabody, Clark Strecker, Laura, Austin, and Tailor of Rose Hill, Yancy and Julie Strecker and Gabriel of Newton. The family always holds a short program before opening gifts. Yancy played guitar and sang Christmas songs. My son, Lowell called from San Antonio, Texas, and talked to Clark, Douglas, and me. He said they had snow. His wife and family and sister, Denise and family, went to Mobile, Ala., Thursday to spend Christmas with their folks. My brother, Emil Pospisil of Wichita and Wayne Schwartzman of Park City visited with us for a short time while we were exchanging gifts.
Christmas Day Irma and Bob Reznicek received a call from Ron and Verena Reznicek from Farmington, B.C.
Christmas Day John and Helen Reznicek hosted a supper. Guests were Bob and Carol Makovec, Tom and Janet Reznicek of Lawrence, Sam Reznicek of Manhattan, and a foreign exchange student from China attending the University of Kansas, Kenneth and Debbie Reznicek, Nicholas and Nathan of Burlington, Charles and Mary Loewen of Hillsboro, Josie Loewen of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Irma and Bob Reznicek.
Bob and Carol Makovec entertained Sunday with a Christmas Day dinner. Guests were Darren and Amy Makovec, Dana, Ellie, and Shelby, Ryan Makovec and friend, Randy and Colleen Klug, Nicole and Alison, Mark Makovec, Chanell and Hunter, Troy and Robyn Heitfield, Taylor, Madison, and Drake, and Shannon Walters, all of Herington, Brandon and Kristen Makovec and son, Andrew, of Ft. Meade, Md., Jennifer Makovec and friend, Paul Forrester, and two girls, Regan and Tatum, of Salina, and Irma and Bob Reznicek.
Joyce Rohloff visited with me Friday morning. She was going to Salina to visit her mother Christmas Eve. Christmas Day she and her son who is stationed in Texas were going to spend Christmas Day with her sister at Bonner Springs.
Betty Stenzel prepared a dinner on Christmas Day for her son, Gregory Stenzel, Nikki Stenzel, and Becky Jackson.
Christmas Eve Fred and Marguerite Utech accompanied Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu to Hillsboro to Lyons Lutheran Church to see the Christmas program.
Gary and JoAnn Stucklik and family of Pilsen, Christopher and Melissa and sons or rural Lincolnville, Rita Stucklik and friend, Kelby Schawe of Wichita were Christmas Eve guests of Alex and Jean Stucklik.
Selma Ingram visited Sunday with Charles and Lori Smithhart and their guests, Barren and Barbie of Lawrence.
Marcel and Mary Jane Steiner of Wichita were Christmas dinner guests of Alex and Jean Stuchlik.
Gregory Stenzel and daughter, Nikki, visited Helen Chill of Marion Thursday.
Sunday was a fun day at the home of Alex and Jean Stuchlik. Guests were Rita Stuchlik and Kelby Schawe of Wichita, Chris and Melissa Stuchlik and sons of rural Lincolnville, Gary and JoAnn Stuchlik and children of Pilsen, and Robert and Debbie Burns and family of Wichita. After dinner the gifts were opened. Fourteen grandchildren opened gifts. Paper was flying everywhere. Alex said he put a trash bag in the middle of the room. We always put a box in the middle of our room for paper and boxes.
Don't forget New Year's Eve. The Alex Stuchlik Band will play for a dance at Pilsen Community Hall, 8:30 p.m. to midnight.
Larry Rudolph visited his sister, Mike and Karen Walsh, and Renee on Christmas Day.
