Lost Springs: Rezniceks attend breakfast at church

Bob and Irma Reznicek ate breakfast at the Pilsen Catholic Church Sunday following Mass. The Knights of Columbus served the pancake and sausage breakfast.

I was sorry to hear of the death on Thursday of Theo Kroupa, a resident at Salem Nursing Home, Hillsboro. His funeral was Monday morning at the Pilsen church.

Carol Makovec picked up her mother Irma Reznicek Thursday morning and they attended a preschool tea party at Herington. Carol's twin grandchildren, Alison and Nicole Klug, are members of the preschool class. Carol and Irma ate lunch with the twins' mother Coleen Klug after the party.

Marcel and Irma Benda and son William met Irma's brother and wife Mr. and Mrs. Steven Aksamit of Bennington in Salina Saturday evening. They ate dinner together to celebrate Steven's birthday.

Clark Strecker and Laura Drebon of Andover were my Sunday dinner guests. They mowed my lawn and ran the weed eater.

According to Channel 12 Lost Springs was under tornado warnings Saturday evening. There was lots of dark clouds, but no tornado. We had four inches of rain last week. My yard was like a pond.

Larry Rudolph was an Easter Sunday dinner guest of Mike and Karen Walsh and Renee.

Marcel and Irma Benda of Lincolnville visited me Sunday night.

I talked to Leona Deines. She said the men were working cattle, getting them ready to go to the pastures.

Ruby Holub of Marion hosted a supper Sunday night. Her guests were Bob and Irma Reznicek, Ralph and Betty Stroda of Herington, and John and Rosie Waner of Alba, Texas.

Mervin and Leona Deines, Terry Deines, and Jeff Deines attended the retirement dinner in honor of Jenette Clark who worked for Tatge Tox Wik at the old Ramona school. The dinner was held at the Trinity Lutheran parish hall.

I heard that Terry Vinduska is on the Pilsen church's prayer list. He is very ill in a Wichita hospital.

Oaklan and Tia Jenkins were Selma Ingram's guests for supper Saturday evening.
