We are so happy to have received 8 to 8 1/2 inches of rain. My son Douglas of Hesston was here last Saturday to mow my lawn. We also picked pears and apples off the trees. Douglas said birds were picking on his tomatoes. My flowers in front of the house almost are gone. The grasshoppers have been having a feast. They say they make good fish bait.
