Lost Springs American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 1:30 p.m. this Thursday at the home of Hallie Novak.
Junior Hanschu had surgery at the Newton Medical Center Wednesday and was able to come home Friday. He is doing OK.
Reign and Marlene Anduss called on Don and Norma Bird a week ago last Sunday afternoon. They decided to go for a ride and ended up in Abilene where they visited Connie Coffey, then went to a restaurant for their evening lunch.
Neil and Jolene Albrecht of Salina returned Friday from their trip to Cancun, Mexico. Their daughter Kallie was a guest of Fred and Marguerite Utech most of the week and also stayed a few days with her grandparents, Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu.
Douglas Strecker of Hesston called me Thursday night to ask if I was froze up. I fed the cattle Wednesday and Thursday. Larry Rudolph wasn't feeling well, he had the flu. He came Friday, fed the cattle, and checked the oil in my car. He was my supper guest.
Sorry to hear that Irvin Brunner of Marion died last week. His funeral was Tuesday at the Lutheran church in Marion with interment at Lewis Cemetery, Ramona. Irvin used to live in a beautiful country home east of Ramona.
Jeanetta Hanschu hosted a pizza supper Saturday night in celebration of the birthdays of Junior and Jan Hanschu. Guests were Jayson and Jan Hanschu, Jakob and Jorge of Hillsboro, Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom, Neil and Jolene Albrecht and Kallie and Harold and Thelma Hanschu of Salina, Sallie Utech of Lawrence, Theresa Tajchman of rural Ramona and Fred and Marguerite Utech.
Monty Stuchlik had a problem with one of his cows. She didn't want to accept her calf, but wanted a calf of another cow. Monty put some moo moo on her calf, then she accepted it.
Ramona seniors will have their monthly dinner and social hour Feb. 20. Homestead and income tax papers will be filled out at the center that morning.
