Lucille Strunk
Lucille Strunk, 86, of Herington, died Feb. 4, 2003, at Raymore Health Center, Raymore, Mo.
Born Dec. 8, 1916, at Valley Falls, she was the daughter of Charles and Rose Cole.
She was a homemaker and owned and operated her own business for many years. She worked for Dilly Brothers Bakery and Masten's Bakery.
She attended Herington High School with the class of 1934 and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Herington.
On April 26, 1936, she married Harold M. Strunk at Salina. He preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1983.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Riffel; a brother, Willard Cole; and her parents.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna McClellan of Raymore, Mo.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Donahue Funeral Home Chapel, Herington, with the Rev. William H. Marshall officiating.
Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.
A memorial fund has been established with First Baptist Church, Herington.
