Making sense of nonsense
From the "things that don't make sense" department, one wonders why the city had to resurface a perfectly good stretch of North Cedar Street when there obviously are so many other streets that could use some work.
Another thought from that department might be why the county treasurer's office must be remodeled again. When everyone is screaming "no money" and "budget cuts" the county seems to be looking for ways to spend more.
And while we're on the subject of things that don't make sense, we might as well mention a school district that cuts teachers but works to keep a sports program. It looks like we may be more interested in athletics than education.
There are other things that don't make sense, like Braille at drive-through windows and low-fat chocolate cake, but they aren't worth mentioning. Unfortunately, these topics will draw more comment than government spending and education.
