Malarkey: Somebody's gotta do it
It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it. We won't complain about being site chairman for a group which holds conventions.
Our duties take us across the nation to such places as Salt Lake City, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Branson, Norfolk, Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Biloxi, Kansas City, St. Louis, and others.
Of course they "roll out the red carpet," feed too much rich food, and pamper participants in a manner to which they could soon become accustomed.
Last week on a FAM trip (that's what they call familiarization tours) to Milwaukee we had the opportunity to fly Midwest Express out of Kansas City and highly recommend that airline to all. All seats are wide like first class, two where three normally are found. They are soft leather, recline, and are extraordinarily comfortable.
After takeoff you are brought champagne (or soft drinks) and home style snacks. They serve good meals on china, no plastic plates or cups, and provide cloth napkins.
The airplanes are clean, neat, and staff members are friendly. You feel like first class but the price is the same as coach on lesser airlines.
Midwest Express hubs are at Milwaukee and Kansas City with flights to both coasts. And they give frequent flyer miles.
