Marijuana found growing in Ramona

Acting on a tip, Deputy Rollin Schmidt viewed marijuana growing in a garden next to a house at 3350 Quail Creek, Ramona, between 12:08 and 8:19 p.m. Sept. 10. A search warrant was obtained and several growing plants, propagation equipment, growing equipment, drug paraphernalia, and other drug items were found in the house and on the property.

An individual was driving west on Main Street in Marion at 12:25 a.m. Aug. 26 when he was seen by Sergeant Jeff Soyez. Soyez had been notified by another officer that the individual had a suspended driver's license. The driver was stopped and alcohol was on his breath. The individual failed field sobriety test and was arrested for driving while license suspended, driving under the influence of alcohol, and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

A driver failed to dim head lights at 1:39 a.m. Aug. 23 on U.S.-50. The individual was stopped by Sergeant Soyez who smelled alcohol and saw an open container. The driver failed sobriety test and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Cora J. McBribe's, Augusta, brother-in-law was taking her trailer to Hillsboro from Wakenee at 9 a.m. Sept. 17. When he parked the trailer at the Hillsboro fair grounds, he noticed the tag was missing from the trailer. It is not known if the tag was stolen or lost, reports Deputy Aaron Waddell.

An individual followed her ex-husband, his mother, and stepfather to Topeka and Main in Lincolnville at 3:50 p.m. Sept. 10. She confronted her ex-husband to provoke a fight. She then opened the vehicle driver's door and attempted to drag the 72-year-old victim from the car and struck the victim in the face. The victim put the vehicle in reverse and backed up to get away. The individual was dragged by the door, the vehicle was stopped, and the individual yelled at the victims and walked off.
