Program and book signing
Karen Epp, an author from Newton, will present a program and book signing at 7 p.m. May 29 at Marion City Library for the her book, "With Love Stan: A Soldier's Letter from Vietnam to the World."
softball umpire clinic
Bob McMahon from Kansas American Softball Association will be at Marion baseball/softball complex at 7 Monday four anyone interested in a softball umpiring clinic.

wildflower tour
Vaughn Sothman of Sharp Brothers Seed Company will discuss the use of native grasses, buffalo grass, and wildflowers at 8:30 a.m. June 1 at Marion County Lake Hall. He will talk about growing native plants and collecting their seeds. A self-guided tour at noon will follow.

chingawassa days
The festival will be June 1-3 in Marion. Activities during the weekend include: Rhine Challenge, 5K Rhino Run, Pedal Tractor Pull, Motorcycle Poker Run, Texas Hold 'em Tournament, horseshoes, bingo, dodge ball, bed races, car show, amazing race, rock, paper, scissors tournament, and more.
gymnastics
The upcoming summer session will begin the second week of June and be held for six weeks. Dates and times will be decided on what works for majority of the participants. Erin Richmond and Katie Hett will be instructors.

junior golf
Learn the basics and be allowed ample playing time at Marion Country Club June 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 25, and July 2, and 8.
Rex Ostmeyer and Jack Webb will run the program is for anyone between the ages of eight and 18 and sessions will be held from 8-10 a.m.
Register with Ostmeyer at 620-382-2879. The registration fee is $30.
spring adult golf
Adult golf lessons will be available from 5:30-6:30 p.m. June 18-22 for anyone older than 18. Jack Webb is available at 620-382-2264 for questions and registration.
swing dance lessons
Have fun and learn to dance June 19, 21, 26, 28, and July 3 and 5 at Marion City Building basement.
Rachel Davidson and Michael Brookens will lead the class that costs $20 per couple.
