Marion High School athletes take part in Wildcat invitational
Marion High School was well represented Sunday at the track and field Wildcat High School Invitational hosted by Kansas State University.
Six athletes from MHS took part in the event.
Jeremy Vondenkamp took first in the 55-meter hurdles and placed fifth in the 200m dash. Jacob Czarnowsky ran in the 55m hurdles as well and took fourth place.
A day after taking second place in the league wrestling meet, Shawn Britton took third in the men's shot put event.
On the girls' side Danielle Cope ran in the 3000m run and finished second.
Emalee Versch competed in the women's shot put and took third place, and Erin Carr was a fourth-place finisher in the 55m sprint.
