The team placed second June 29 at Lindsborg. Those playing included Jeffrey, Carlson, Richmond, Suffield, Fine, Heidebrecht, Wil Case, Isaac Hett, Adam Maag, Palermo, Starkey, Davis, Riesen, and Serene.

Legion team loses

Fortunately for the American Legion Post 366 baseball team the zone tournament is coming up this weekend.

Had Sunday's doubleheader at Lyons been a week later, 366 would be playing spectator for the remainder of its own tournament in Hillsboro.

Lyons got a boost from the Post team's miscues in both games as the host swiped a pair from a dazed 366 squad.

Post 366 enters this weekend's tournament staggering at 14-4 overall.
