Mary Fisher
Mary L. Fisher, 75, of Herington, died May 9, 2004, at Herington Municipal Hospital.
Born Aug. 27, 1928, at Topeka, she was the daughter of Howard and Lucille (Huntley) Flowers.
On Sept. 3, 1948, she married Chester Fisher at Ratoon, N.M. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Flowers Jr.; a half-brother, Kenneth Huntley; a sister, Grace Schafer; a half-sister, Joan Brock; and her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Chester, of Herington; three daughters, Betty Howard of Fort Washington, Md., Randa Ream of North Manchester, Ind., and Yvonne "Neicey" Watkins of Columbus, Ga.; a son, Chester "Chuckie" Fisher Jr. of Topeka; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel, with the Rev. Lorenzo Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established with the Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University.
