Matz is fourth place medalist
Centre senior Andy Matz was fourth-place medalist Friday at the Marion invitational golf tournament. He shot 81, followed by Ryan Makovec, in 13th place, with 86. Chris Peterson shot 92, Dusty Caldwell 107, and Nathan Brunner 118.
The CHS four-man golf team — Matz, Makovec, Peterson, and Caldwell — combined for a total of 366 to take fourth place.
They were outdone by Circle, 343, and Sacred Heart and Southeast of Saline, 345 each. Marion placed fifth with 384.
Other teams represented were Chase County, Halstead, Herington, Inman, Peabody, and Remington
