Matz named to 3A all-state team
A Marion High School senior has been named to the 3-A All State Football Team.
Jason Matz, who played linebacker for the MHS Warriors, was named to the all-state team as a defensive back. The teams were selected by several area newspapers including the Kansas City Star, Wichita Eagle, Topeka Capitol-Journal and The Salina Journal.
He also received all-league honors. Last year, Matz received honorable mention.
With the all-state team honor, Matz will have the honor of having his picture hung on the Wall of Fame at the Marion High School Gymnasium. He is the son of Craig and Denise Matz.
