Max Miller

Max G. Miller, 56, York, Neb., died April 2, 2003, in York. He was a truck driver for Sunflower Carriers for more than 10 years.

He was born April 13, 1946, at Strong City to Milton M. and Lou Ella (Bohl) Miller. He was married Jan. 8, 1993, to Mary Jo Blair at Las Vegas, Nev. He enjoyed football and NASCAR racing.

He is survived by his wife Mary Jo of York; three sons, Mike of Lyons, J.J. and wife Charlotte, and Roger and wife Sarah, of Wichita; stepchildren, Angela and husband Steve Schmidt of York, Misty-Skye and husband Clinton Batemon of Wichita, John and wife Christie Carley of York, and James and wife Meleasa Carley of Moore, Okla. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Metz Chapel in York with the Rev. Ralph Ford officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery at York.
